My Mistake, Your Gain
Everybody likes a contest, so here’s one that’s much safer than Smuggle and Win. This one
is more like Stump the Chump.
It’s a rare book that comes out with zero errors of any kind. Even Harry Potter #5 (a terrific book by a terrific writer) has a couple of goofs. Nevertheless, I and my intrepid band of proofreaders challenge anyone to find a mistake; a typo, a misspelling, an anachronism, whatever. Given that there are 100,000 words involved, I have to assume we’ve missed something. So here’s the deal: the first person to find a given mistake and report it via the contact email on this website, will get his or her name listed here along with five--count 'em, five--dollars for each mistake found. In addition, an autographed copy of Morning will go to whomever has found the most mistakes when the contest closes (my option). On your mark… get set… go! |
